Is-ought

There is always a significant gap between what ought to and what is.

In this world which scientific management and audit are valued, how people work are ruled by a lot of specifications and monitored by various high tech hardware and track log. However, the agency and creativity of human beings are deprived and depressed at the same time, and people have to deal with more nonsensical work. That is what ought to bring to us.

Why should we be used to the too rational institutions, not the institutions become more suitable for us? Why does not let it be what is in stead of what it ought to? I wonder.
